Well, am finally getting some more pictures posted. Things are proceeding on pace – not my pace but the builder’s pace. During the past week they got the tile laid – floors and bath areas as well. A few days ago they got the yard graded. Brought in some dirt to build up the yard as well as fill for the foundations for the driveway and sidewalks. Should start the pouring of these components in a few days. The electrician has come and started putting in the breakers in the service box and wiring the electric sockets and the recessed lights. When he left today the house was hot as you can see from the last pictures where the lights are now on. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are installed.
Did notice one snafu – the two guest bedrooms (one of which will be an office) and the guest bathroom were painted with the wrong color! Should be no problem as there is another coat to be applied – everybody is aware of the snafu.
Also, when went by Friday saw the bookshelf (ceiling to floor) was installed on the wrong wall in the office! Called the cabinet maker and he did have the correct location identified on his plans but his installers ‘messed up’. He did retrieve it on Friday to replace the back panel and it will be reinstalled in a couple of days on the correct wall.
For the following picture gallery:
The first four are shots of the tiling process.
The next three show the graded yard.
The last three we see the cabinets and lights are installed.
