Well two more days and we are headed home! Certainly looking forward to heading back home. We will Miss Iceland as it has been a great trip.

This morning we took the bus to the Reykjavik Botanical Gardens. Very large as compared to the Botanical Gardens we saw last week in Akueyri the north coast. A lot of open green space and walking trails. We feel the flowers at the Akueyri gardens were far more beautiful as they had far more blooming flowers but not much open space. The Reykjavik gardens were nice and some different types of flowers – they were nice. Got the names of several of the families of the flowers then later today looked them up to see if any would grow in Fairhope and some from all of the families will grow in Fairhope. They had a cafe in the gardens where you could get ‘tea and crumpets’ complete with fish pond (small) wisteria – in bloom, different links of hydrangeas. So may try some of these flowers when I get back.
Headed back to the hotel until later in the day when we went to the Iceland National Museum – one of the best we have seen. Very modern and very, very well done. Told the history of Iceland from its’ beginning until the beginning of the 21st century.
That is it for today – one more low key day then home again! Looking forward to seeing all of you.
