Today it rained from 1100 all day to this evening which was fine as we were cruising all day. We are now in Romania. Things going well with about four days left. The Iron Gate is the largest lock and dam on the Danube – so nothing spectacular. We did go to a really neat castle that would have been a great tourist stop. However, the dock, located at the castle, when they built it they forgot to ask for an appropriate permit to host tourists – so no stopping – go figure! All-in-all a very pleasant day with and beautiful. BTW along the way, someone had carved into the mountainside ahead of someone – not unlike My Rushmore.
