Let on time this morning for PNS thence to ATL and AMS. All flights on time – what is called a really boring flight. Got into AMS next day about 0530, through customs, to baggage claim in about 25 minutes, hardly anyone in the airport. Then had to wait for about 5 minutes for the shuttle to the boat VRC Ageir. We were on the boat in less than an hour from when we landed!
Could not check in as the room was not cleaned – disembarking previous customers. So we got some breakfast on board the Aegir and headed for the city. Got a ride anywhere ticket and entry to the Art Museum in Amsterdam. But first stopped by the flower Market – LOTS of tulip bulbs and other bulbs but few cut flowers – the season is past for tulips. But was an interesting place to visit. The Art Museum was spectacular. Rembrandt’s Night Watch and so many others. We got there not long after it opened so not that many people in the museum. After two-three hours back to the boat, to the room and a short nap. Later this afternoon Patricia went for a canal ride and I hung at the boat. I went out for a bit to walk around briefly and Patricia came back. After the obligatory ship talks we had supper and then Patricia CRASHED for the evening, A bit later I sacked as well. Overall, a good day, things went well and we are now ready to head out in the morning.
